Summary
Uma vez, 13 distritos rebelaram-se contra a tirania da Capital, mas eles perderam a guerra. A Capital destruiu o 13º distrito como punição e como garantia de que algo assim nunca mais acontecesse, decretou que uma vez por ano, cada um dos 12 distritos restantes devessem entregar à custódia da Capital dois tributos, para que eles lutassem até a morte em uma competição chamada Jogos Vorazes. Onde somente um sairia vivo.
No Distrito 12, havia dois garotos que eram melhores amigos desde que se conheciam por gente. Cresceram juntos, passaram por momentos difíceis juntos, choraram juntos e riram juntos.
E, infelizmente, foram para os Jogos Vorazes juntos.

“After all that… how did you know Vickie liked you back?” Will asks. The confusion is still there, but something else flickers underneath it, something almost hopeful.
Robin smiles. “It wasn’t easy, that’s for sure. But when it’s there, you kind of… know. You feel it. Eventually.”
Will doesn’t look convinced. “But how? Especially if you’re the type who thinks that would never happen to you.” His voice drops near the end.or, the one where robin buckley and will byers have their very needed heart to heart.

"I live in your house, Mike," he said, crossing his arms defensively. "I thought you'd already have enough of me."
"I don't." Will jumped at Mike's voice, head whipping back around to face him. "Come on, Will! You talk to Holly more than you do me. You're always doing those— those ugly craft projects with her, and I didn't even know you liked crafts, and I didn't know you liked Holly more than me, either. I don't know anything about you."
Will blinked at him, mouth agape. "They're not ugly," he said, weakly.
"They are." Mike glared at Will harder. "See? I didn't know you lied now, either."
The Byers spend their first year with the Wheelers. Will learns how to handle Mike, and Mike learns how to handle change.
