Summary
It's been a rough few years after SUNNY's accident, but AUBREY has more or less landed on her feet. Between meeting her new group of friends and reconnecting with BASIL, she has all the companionship she needs. She hardly even thinks about her old friend group. Certainly not SUNNY!
That doesn't mean she doesn't miss him, of course. She's just accepted that he's probably never coming back. If he did, however, that would definitely be one of the happiest days of AUBREY's life.
How could it be anything else?

Summary
A thought nagged at the back of her head. It felt like something was missing. She piped up again, trying to keep the hint of disappointment out of her words.
"Where's Sunny, by the way? Thought he would be here when we arrived..."
She didn't miss how the three younger teens winced in unison. Worry swelled in the pit of her stomach as a brief silence stretched out, broken by Basil after a minute.
"I haven't seen him at all recently... I think he's started to walk home earlier after school? Last time I saw him was a while before spring break started..."

Taking place years after the recital was cancelled, with Hero and Mari visiting from college. Some things change, some are inevitable.
TLDR: Mari begins to notice something is up with Sunny.
