i love reading azula fics, partly because i love azula as a character and partly because, for redemption fics, it’s always so interesting to see what path to healing and redemption she’s going to take. that is to say - absolutely love the path the author laid out for her, the support azula had along the way, and the growth she experienced while staying believably in character. best therapist kallik.

outside pov fics are always so interesting to me, because, while i love seeing how the main characters are feeling, i also love seeing how they seem in other people's eyes. lo and behold, this fic scratches both my itches with the clever use of a journal, which is such a canon-appropriate medium that fits into the cr world so well. this also features beautiful art that really enhances the experience (make sure to check out the extra art pieces in the end notes for a drawing of an adorably dapper pâté).

just noticed that i didn't have one of my favourite bechloe fics that i read years ago in my bookmarks yet, oop. cute, sweet, and funny - the opening scene gave me a sensible chuckle and helped ease away the bit of discomfort i felt when they made chloe a three-time super senior in pitch perfect 2.

coalitiongirl out of nowhere suddenly started publishing a new swan queen fic ('paper cut stings from our paper-thin plans') and my head popped off my shoulders in ridiculously happy surprise, and needless to say, i've spent the past few days diving back into their old fics, thinking "this is my favourite", "no this is my favourite" with each one of their stories that i re-read. honestly, i just love them all. i am adding this one to my bookmarks though, because, as a post-finale fic, reading it really transported me back to all the things about emma and regina and henry and their family, and all the moments between them, that i loved.
it's nice to know that after all these years of loving swan queen, even with the show having been over for half a decade, it's still so easy to slip back into their world. i guess you could say they're unique, maybe even special :)
