Summary
“I was…I was going to tell you, when I came back from Sannikov.” Michael breathes it out like cigarette smoke, where it curls around them in the rain. He looks down at their joined hands, his own freckled knuckles and Gerry’s flaking black nail-polish. “I had this whole corny letter and everything, wrote it down on the plane so I could practice.”
“What did it say?” It feels equal parts tender and devastating, watching Michael’s downturned eyes - the fan of his pale lashes against his cheek.

Summary
Every day since she came out of Artifact Storage, wholer than she should’ve, Sasha has felt the uncanny sense of having narrowly slipped past a tragedy. Some itching knowledge in the back of her skull which whispers she exists past her own expiry, shuttled along the tracks far beyond where they should have come to an end and now lives with one foot over the edge of a great precipice. She would’ve long hit the bottom, if not for Michael.

Michael and Sasha succumb to the ordeal of being known.

Summary
Michael Shelley was a good kid. He worked hard, had good grades, and was loved by his teachers. It made no sense for him to have a crush on the scary looking goth in Miss Robinson’s class.
Gerard Keay was not a good kid. He did his own thing, and couldn’t be bothered by what other people had to say about it. The cute blond in Miss Robinson’s class was fun to sneak glances at, but he doubted they would ever really get to know each other.
Then the two got paired together on a project, and a ghost hunting session ensues. Somehow this furthers their relationship.

Summary
It's been almost four years since Michael Shelley succeeded Gertrude Robinson as the Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute. Almost four years of relative peace and quiet, interspersed with the odd bout of supernatural bullshit. Michael is engaged, document storage is tidier than it has ever been, and things are looking... good.
But the Web has been biding its time, and now it's ready to make its next move. It may have lost the battle to place Jon in the Archivist's chair, but there are still ways to get its plans back on track, and it has plenty of pieces left on the board.
(This is a sequel to Break Me Like A Pattern. I recommend reading that first, or you will be very confused.)
