Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie haven’t been the same since the Rite. They all deal with traumas in their own self-destructive ways, and they’re okay with that. After all, healing isn’t linear. As long as they take it day by day and remember to breathe once in a while, life will be fine. Not good, not great, but fine.
The problem is, Cassian, Azriel, and Rhys have noticed. They’re painfully aware that the Valkyrie’s recovery after the Rite echoes their own, almost to a fault. And they've never been good at keeping to themselves - even if the Valkyries insist they don't need help.
But what if they do?
A self-help, hurt-comfort, feel-good fic with different POVs set immediately after ACOSF (but ignoring HOFAS because we don’t want to unpack that right now).

Summary
One-shot (maybe?) of Emerie addressing some things about the Inner Circle, and taking her own path. Deviation from canon - I took some liberties with the characterization, plot, and everything, and was heavily inspired by fictional events from other books, and even some salient sociocultural and historical themes are going to be embedded in this to address the many prejudices that SJM had in creating this series. There's so much potential in this world but there are just as potholes if left in the original canon. Lots of thoughts, but this world and these characters shouldn't have to be injusticed by not being fleshed out well just because the author is a PoS, zionist bigot. I also haven't read HOBAS or wtvr the new Maas book is fully, so this isn't going to include the multiverse part of it - or maybe it will. I'm not sure where this is going.

P.S. Looking back, the beginning chapters are not the best as far as writing goes, but I have definitely improved. Just be patient, It's worth it!
