She got an inch from him before a birdarang embedded itself in her hand, forcing her to drop the gun with an agonized scream. Red Robin didn’t hesitate. He kicked her in the head with the heavy heel of his boot, grabbed Robin, and yanked him further away from her.
Red wasn’t aiming to kill, of course he wasn’t, but he was being less careful than Bruce had ever seen from him. Even with Boomerang, that had been methodical, planned out. This was just blind rage."

“How did you get in?” he says, in case this is a magic talking cat. The cat blinks at him. “Um. Where’s your owner, or person, or whatever?”
The cat gives him a kind of flat stare, and then turns to look at his desk.
Bernard glances over. A portion of his desk has been cleared, and in the center is a folded piece of paper with his name on it.
“What the fuck,” Bernard mutters. And then, because he’s an idiot, he picks up the paper without gloves or anything to protect him from secret poisons or coke or whatever people put in neatly folded notes in the middle of a teenager’s bedroom and unfolds it.
The typed note reads:
Bear,
Im sorry. Need you to watch my cat for a few days. Hes very smart just leave the window open for him and hell do his business out there. Pls feed him canned tuna if possible NOT CAT FOOD. If not hell hunt mice.

TimOkay. Weird.
Tim gets turned into a cat. Instead of reporting to Bruce and risk getting benched, he spends time with Bernard.

He’s aware.
But, as he stares at his little brother telling him that Bruce is alive, he can’t help but feel anything but relief. In fact, he feels a lot of bad feelings about it, and then very quickly adds guilt to those bad feelings since he can’t think of anything positive to say.
Because he’s aware that he’s not well. And that Tim isn’t well. And that Alfred isn’t well.
But they weren’t well before Bruce died, either.

Summary
Dick’s shoulders burn, his muscles straining in his sockets. He’s not sure he’d even be able to move his legs under him, much less stand on them. His skin is still flared with pain, and it’s getting harder to keep his breathing somewhat even. The chains are digging into his skin hard enough to hurt and cut off his blood flow. He’s exhausted. He wants to go home.
He can’t bring himself to open his mouth when Tim leaves.
He deserves it. He knows he deserves it. He doesn’t have the right to ask anything of him, not after all the shit he did. He took Robin, he didn’t believe Tim, he let Damian get away with all kinds of the shit he did, he threatened Arkham – and he left Tim to find Bruce on his own. Tim doesn’t owe him anything.
It still hurts a little that Tim knows it too, that he’s finally realized Dick isn’t worth putting up with. And isn’t that pathetic? That Tim walking back out without a word, leaving his sorry ass right where it is, spikes a pain in his chest that’s worse than anything else?

Post-Red Robin - Dick has been a shit brother, but Tim still loves him, and is just mad that Dick is being a self-punishing idiot instead of just reaching out and trying to repair their relationship. Pretty heavy torture scenes at the beginning, and Dick's thought process is entirely maddening (Tim's right, it isn't about Dick!), but he does listen to Tim in the end.

Summary
There’s not really a point in owning a car, especially with the cost of insurance. With the threat of student debt looming overhead like a cloud, Bernard can’t afford to buy a car without help, and there’s no way he’ll ever ask Tim.
So Bernard doesn’t really drive. He’s happy to let his weirdly specific driving skills get swept under the rug, because the thing he has with Tim still feels delicate and new, and he doesn’t want to ruin it by bringing up that his uncle was in a gang and hey, he just happened to teach Bernard how to drive. Bernard wants to avoid any kind of conversation around crime in Gotham, actually. Especially after what happened in high school.
It’s not like he’s ever going to need to drive a getaway car, anyway. As far as Bernard is concerned, it’ll never come up.
Bernard learned to drive from his henchman uncle. The last place he expects to use this skill is at a dinner with his boyfriend's family.

He’s not sure what he was expecting when Drake showed his face again, but it wasn’t this: toothbrush hanging out of his mouth, wearing a too-large hoodie, rooting through the fridge at two in the morning in the Kents’ farmhouse. He looks like a mess. He looks more relaxed than Damian’s ever seen him.
(Tim drops off the face of the earth, leaving a Drake-sized hole in the family. Damian’s the last person anyone would have expected to fix it.)
