Sebastian remembers this from before, Chris’s physicality, remembers shoving and tripping one another, and hugs that lingered. It had been silly, friendly, until some vague, unspoken moment towards the end of filming when their relationship had changed again - Chris circling Sebastian’s wrist with his hand, or a palm to his lower back, only on rough days, only when Chris noticed him tensing up against unpleasantness in his own mind. At first Seb wanted to apologize, brokenness is a tiresome trait, but the actions seem to calm Chris too, ease his busy brain. When they lost touch Seb pretended not to miss it; he wouldn’t have had a chance to anyway, right? - with two dozen excellent fuck buddies all over the globe. Weird how they all had blue eyes though.

Summary
The first Sebastian hears of it, he's approached by an extremely competent-looking blonde woman in a sharp dark suit. CIA, what the fuck, and Seb just stares at her.
“Come on,” he says. “Okay, we kind of look similar, I guess I'm the celebrity look-alike you'd get if you stuck our faces through one of those dumb apps—or he is, maybe, shit, he's probably still more famous than I am. But he died in, like, 1945, right? Why are you asking me about this now?”
Maybe in the end it's his absolute confusion which convinces them; maybe it's just the fact that he's obviously a total idiot, couldn't possibly have any connection to this guy called the Winter Soldier beyond the fact that they both have high cheekbones, grey eyes and a sharp jawline and a too-pretty mouth. Sorry for the inconvenience, she tells him, thank you for your time, and that evening Sebastian stares at his face in the mirror, wonders what he'd look like if he grew his hair long and got a little stubble.

The thing is…Seb is so good. He’s so flipping good. Chris tries to maintain his boundaries – but it’s not like he’s the only one who notices. And after a hard day of filming, Sebastian will smile calmly whenever anyone checks in on him.
He doesn’t even complain after the fucking wall hadn’t been padded properly (Chris’d been furious and had stepped out for minute, snapped open a can of Coke and let it fizz in his mouth instead of the words he’d wanted to say – things like come here, Seb and who the fuck let this happen and we’re taking the rest of the day off and I’m feeding this gorgeous sub juice in bed).

And he wouldn’t get so pissed at him for almost accidentally killing himself once a week. Maybe it would be easier, if he could just be a little more honest with them both.
But the thing is, it’s not easy. If things were easy, Keith wouldn’t be out on the training deck every night until he’s so exhausted that he can’t see straight—until he reaches that point of fading out of focus just long enough for the gladiator to sweep his legs out from under him. And if things had an easy explanation, then he wouldn’t need Lance to patch him up in the hours where all of their friends are asleep. And he wouldn’t be bleeding. And he wouldn’t be hurting.
_Keith tries to navigate leadership and the messy concept of love in all of its forms—all while trying to keep the darkest, buried secrets from his past from bubbling back to the surface. It doesn’t go as well as you might expect.
