Summary
Quaritch presents beer to Varang
Varang, in retrospect, presents Kava, a fermented Mangkwan beverage.
Quaritch didn't think the drink would have such a strong effect, but his brain literally melted in his head and he completely forgot how the Na'vi language worked.
He has no idea what Varang is about to say to him, but body language never fails, and oh, how Quaritch knows Varang's body.

Summary
The idea of her, ready and waiting, has any patience crumbling. The comforter is peeled away slowly, quietly; he doesn’t want to disturb her as she sleeps peacefully. She’s wearing his shirt, the grey one that he’d lost their first month of dating and only saw again when she moved in. She looks like an angel with her hair haloed around her head, in his shirt, in his bed.
His hands reach for her without hesitation.

Summary
After being reborn in the body of a Recom, Quaritch believed he was still the same soldier he always was: cold, pragmatic, and loyal only to the mission. But everything begins to change when he forms an alliance, and something much deeper, with Varang.
As the two learn, in their own brutal and sincere way, to love each other, Quaritch finds himself torn between two worlds. Between human logic and the spiritual bonds of the Na'vi, he begins to question something he never imagined: is he still the same man who died on Pandora… or is he becoming someone else?

Summary
"Hungry?" His girl had a habit of waking up hungry as a pack of wolves, which could put his—Quaritch's—limbs in danger. A hungry Tsahìk was no joke, ladies and gentlemen.
"Mmm, no. But, I might be thirsty." She said it in such a sultry voice that Quaritch had no doubt whatsoever what exactly the Tsahìk was thirsty for.
Well, he certainly wasn't going to refuse her.

Summary
“Like I said, honey, I don’t serve anyone,” he chuckled, deep and low in his chest, a humorless sound. His hand slid from the dip of her waist down to the base of her tail, slow and tantalizing. Varang didn’t hiss. Instead, she asked, almost innocently,
“Not even me?”
“Not even you.”
She’s smiling as she says this, a feline-like tilt to her head. Her feathered headdress like the perversion of a halo. Angel. So curious, so pretty when she’d question his God. Especially when she questioned him. Quaritch was a man who had an answer to anything. Right now he gives a wordless hum followed by a playful tug of her tail. Varang’s grin grows wider, “Yet you worship me like a dog, colonel.”

Summary
No prayers passed her lips as the body burned, only the smoke that rose from the flames. Varang breathed it in and let it fill her lungs, making her strong and burning away the weak.
Like an infant, taking its first breath.

Summary
He was disgusted with himself. Fascinated with her. Drawn to the way her pretty face fit perfectly in his hands, five fingers wrapping around her skull as his thumbs absently stroked her cheek. Quaritch has always prided himself in his loyalty for humanity. Never would he have thought to find himself obsessed with the way she moved, how her hips swayed when she danced by the fire. The female. A Na’vi.
God, he could feel his old self raging at the fact. But Miles Quaritch was a dead man, after all. With the same hands that once crushed his old skull, this pair of new hands were carefully caressing her features. Somewhere in hell, he can’t do shit but watch as he traced the trail of red paint from the parting of her hair, down to her nose. Stopping at her mouth, his thumb tugging at her bottom lip. Varang didn’t hiss, didn’t bite. Instead she watches silently, taking him deeper into her mouth, tongue instinctively rolling at his thumb.
For a split second she had the look of a domesticated animal.

Summary
In the suffocating dark of an ash-choked night, a young Na’vi sits alone beside a roaring fire, obsidian blade in hand, staring at the faint stars that glow across her skin. These are not the stars of the sky. They are Eywa’s marks. And she hates them. In blood and unrelenting firelight, she begins a solitary rite that will strip away every trace of the light she once trusted. From grief and betrayal, something colder is born.

Quaritch paused for a moment, then burst into a rumbling laugh. It surprised him how easily the laugh came when he realized he was holding a card stronger than fire.
