Uh, there's been an unexplainable surge in Ms. Motley's vitals over the past few minutes that we're a bit concerned about and we're wondering how to proceed."
All of Gina's irritation curdled into cold fear in an instant. She shot straight up in her bed, hoping to God that she'd somehow misheard.
Ms. Motley. Ms. Christine Motley, technically. Chrissie to her friends.
After all the months they'd spent trapped in the Circus together under Abel's tyrannical management, it was hard for Gina to think of her as anything other than Pomni.

Summary
The absence of Caine, unfortunately, makes way for something worse. Out of pure desperation, the gang rescues him from deletion in hopes he can save them from being deleted too.
Caine gets another chance to prove himself, though he's not sure he wants to, and he still doesn’t understand how it all went so wrong in the first place.
Nobody really wants to die here. Nobody really has much of a choice on how to make that happen. And certainly, nobody is really happy with their former tormentor(s).
But…any port in a storm, right? And maybe with a little patience and effort and compassion, they can all learn to just...live.
