Summary
“Nah, fuck Paris,” he says, nipping at the underside of Naim’s chin to make him laugh again, the kind of startled laugh that doesn’t know how to be self-conscious. Oh, Ryan thinks, he loves him.
He can’t say it out loud, not yet, notyetnotyetnotyet, so he chooses to be honest about the rest of it instead, says, “We’ll figure out Melbourne first. Yeah? Then—I dunno. We’ll go wherever you wanna go.”
“I wanna go where you wanna go,” Naim whispers, unbearably honest-sounding. Scratch that, thinks Ryan.
This is the happiest he’s ever been.

Summary
Naim huffed a little on the other side. “Just come around to my room when you get here. And drop your bike in the bush. My mum will fucking kill you if she sees it.”
Ryan let out a dry little laugh into his phone. “Think she’d kill me in general.”
“When the hell are you gonna leave?”
He paused for a moment. There was a rush in his chest, almost like the moment before you got too high and all you could feel was bliss. Naim missed him. No matter what his sharp little tongue said, he could hear it in his voice.
“Do you really need me that bad?”
“I’m hanging up.”or, Ryan and Naim before everything falls apart.

Summary
A series of one shots about Achilles and Patroclus being happy and married. You can read any of them in any order, but reading my other series "we were happy (achilles and patroclus' version)" will give you the context for how they got here <3.

Summary
He undoes the top button, but now that leaves more of his chest on view. His brows furrow, looking at himself.
Would Pat think it’s okay? He did say they were going to a nice restaurant, but Achilles considers most of the restaurants from this time to be nice.
He shifts the collar again, tugging at it, but it does nothing. The collar hangs open, showcasing perhaps just too much skin. Too much for a first date, anyway.
Not that it really feels like a first date - all of these firsts with Patroclus are never firsts for Achilles.

Summary
I take my last bite of a grape leaf stuffed with crumbling cheese and crushed almonds, considering whether I have underestimated the guile of Achilles’ lapdog. There is power in influence. There is violence in kindness and a trade in such favours that multiply upon the giver.
Odysseus never saw a riddle he didn't want to solve. Patroclus proves a bit more difficult than most.

Figs do not grow in Lord Hades' domain. The conditions make it nigh impossible for the fruit to bear itself upon trees, but the pomegranate thrives. Patroclus does not thrive on the banks of the Lethe.

Summary
"I want more."
Patroclus glanced at the still barely touched piece of pomegranate in Achilles’ hand. Without a word, he dug into his own share, ready to give him half of it, when Achilles stopped him. “Not this.”
Patroclus' look was one of earnest curiosity. "What, then?"
Achilles leaned closer, close enough to smell the rich tartness of the fruit. “This,” he whispered as he flicked his tongue over Patroclus’ lips, tasting the sweetness of the pomegranate that mingled with the natural, earthy saltiness of his skin. “This is what I want.”

Summary
"You are here," he says, pressing breathless kisses to warm skin, "you have come. Patroclus, Patroclus, you have come."
"Achilles," Patroclus replies, and his voice is sweeter than any music. "I knew it was you, at the end of the world."
At the gates of Elysium, Achilles waits, filled with grief and regrets. His devotion is worth it in the end.

Summary
There is no hesitation when I shake my head, for I do not regret any part of knowing him. He is all I have now, and aside from Briseis, he is all I ever had. I have long since let go of princely pride, and breathe freely in the dichotomy of us. Achilles will be written in history and my story will be consigned to his. “I am glad with your honor. I do not want it any other way.”

Summary
“The poets are going to get us all wrong, Patroclus,” Achilles laughs bitterly after another minute, looking up at the stars. “They are never going to know the proper way to describe your laugh, or the color of your eyes. They will not know your smile, nor will I describe it for them. They will never know how to transcribe the way your voice caught on my name, they will never know-” Achilles chokes, clenching the spear in his fist.
His words disappear into the salty air, floating away as whispered promises on the backs of memories.
