"What are you doing here today, darling?" He gets closer to him, making Evan shiver a bit by the proximity.
"I—" Evan opens his mouth, breathing a little hard with eyes still on Barty. When Barty is close enough to get to his face, Evan's posture stiffs and he blinks a little lost and confused, putting a space between him and Barty. "I'm here with my boyfriend, actually," he scratches his throat, darting his eyes from Barty.
And Barty gets speechless.
Because what the fuck?
His purpose in life it's literally to allure people, no one can resist incubus manipulation. Yet, Evan could, and that makes Barty curious.
There's something special about Evan Rosier, something Barty doesn't know yet.
But he will.
Because now Evan got Barty's attention, and the poor thing doesn't even know it.*

“He has a girlfriend!” Barty wailed, shoving his phone with the picture in front of Regulus’ face.
“You mean a boyfriend? That's a guy,” Regulus pointed out.
“What?” Barty took another look at the picture. It was a guy, and he reminded Barty of his ex he had broken up with last year in the early spring.
“You know who he reminds me of?” Regulus prompted.
“Don't even say her name,” Barty threatened.
