Summary
It was a miserable, stifling day. The heat lingered over Cousins like an anvil. Belly felt as though she might bake alive right there on the pool deck. Nevertheless, Belly settled on a lounge chair, in her two-piece swimsuit, to soak up the last bit of Cousins sun for her that summer. Susannah brought her out iced sun tea with lemon wedges and cucumber sandwiches before retreating back into the air conditioning.
Satiated and sweating, Belly was contemplating jumping back into the pool again when Conrad emerged from the path to the beach.
On the last day of the summer before everything begins, Belly and Conrad head into town.

2.) Sharing a bed. (A pipe burst in their apartment and they have to get a hotel room, what are they supposed to do?)
