Summary
Ryland Grace was sent to space against his will by a woman named Eva Stratt to try and fix a dying sun. He has no idea how to do this, nor does his alien friend he picked up along the way.
But when he takes a break from the issue and ends up running out of fuel—which he surely had enough of for the trip— he has to land on a nearby moon. Which turns out to be completely made out of blood, with a mysterious godlike being slinking through the depths of the ocean.
OR
A bloodymary au where Grace discovers the blood moon, except instead of an iron lung, he discovers a semi-godlike being writhing through the depths, known as The Convict. Based on the Princess and the frog.

Summary
The journey to Erid was long and tedious, despite Rocky's best efforts to alliviate the boredom, four years with only a bossy rock for company is enough to drive anyone insane.
Upon arrival, sick and malnourished, Grace expects to be met with confusion and fear from the eridians, demands for explanations, and a long and drawn-out process to create living conditions for him.
What he does not expect to find is another human, comfortably living at the eridians' best recreation of an apple orchard and fiercely attached to Rocky’s mate, Adrian.

Simon wakes up. He hadn't thought he would wake up after his lungs were filled with blood. And yet, here he is, in a pitch-black room, wounds tended to, listening to the most beautiful song he's ever heard.
He's in a world where the stars are alive, and he's been rescued from his blood-soaked iron coffin by a strange, clever little rock-spider alien trying to save the stars. Of course he'll help. Too bad neither of them are biologists...
