The words are close enough that Vander can feel their presence against his skin, his thigh twitching involuntarily. Silco doesn’t feed from Vander. It’s something Silco tried to make very clear. That, however, does not mean it hasn’t happened. A handful of times only, in truly dire situations. A dire situation like this. At least Vander thinks it is, since Silco had seemed determined to go out and get the first victim he would spot on the street. But not in this state, Vander thinks, he could never in good conscience let Silco go out when the man can’t even stand upright by himself.

Before turning the phone back to his usual vibrate, he texts Huaisang a quick 'I’m sick today', confident he’ll understand, as he always does.

“It’s nothing.” Nie Mingjue says, like a liar. While he is not going to deny feeling off, he also cannot help but try and suppress it. Perhaps he would have some free time in a few weeks where he could examine it a bit closer. If he would remember at all, that is.
Mingjue has been walking around with something weighing on his mind, naturally they notice it right away.
