Summary
Amélie Giroux had a simple dream: to leave an irrefutable mark on history. Becoming the greatest pokémon trainer in the world seemed like a good way to accomplish it. Unfortunately, her mountain of medical debt had other things to say on the matter. When a chance encounter nets her a sponsor, it seems like she’ll finally get her long awaited opportunity—now, all she has to do is enter the Kalos Circuit, beat a few gym leaders (hopefully eight of them) and make it to the Conference her very first year.
What she doesn’t expect is to be caught between two epic conflicts, as the champion of a hidden power who just loves to bounce her between the present and the distant past. But what does Team Flare have to do with the evil, ancient kingdom that nearly conquered Kalos many millennia ago? Why was that era lost to recorded history? Summary
In celebration of their 50th Anniversary, the Pokémon League branches of all major regions decide to hold a tournament far larger than any the world has ever seen. Trainers are tasked with earning sixteen badges from across the Kanto and Johto Regions within a period of two years. Those who succeed earn the right to take part in the finals taking place at the very top of the Indigo Plateau, the same location where the Pokémon League was founded. Thousands of trainers from all across the world flock to the Indigo Plateau in order to take part in this monumental occasion.
Some seek the golden riches promised to those who prove themselves. Others seek the indisputable glory the victor will achieve.
For a first-year trainer like Violet Knight, this means the freedom to choose the path she wishes to take, not the path her parents chose for her.

Emily pulled her phone out and let her thumb hover over JJ’s contact. With a shake of her head, she scrolled down and pressed a different contact. Emily held the phone to her ear, closing her eyes briefly to keep her control in place.
“Hey, Princess. You couldn’t-”
“Morgan.” She cut him off aggressively. “Did you drive to Baltimore? Or JJ?”
“I did. What’s going on?”
“Don’t give JJ the keys. I need you to hand her the phone.” When he was about to protest again, she added a firm “please”.
“Yeah, yeah. She’s right here.”
Emily heard the crackling of the phone switching hands and then JJ spoke into the phone cautiously. “Em, what’s wrong?”
Emily took another small breath and tried to keep her voice as calm as possible. “There was a shooting at Henry’s school. I don’t really have any information, it seemed to have just happened, but Hotch and I are on the way.” Emily powered through as JJ started sputtering. Emily could already hear her starting to hyperventilate. “Jennifer, I promise you, I will get him out of there.” -
