Summary
It was a totally normal morning until the Force intervened, and Obi-Wan walked off into the desert. He came back with PTSD, an extra nine years' worth of memories, and a nephew. Which would be plenty for Commander Cody to deal with normally, but they had also brought back the news that the Chancellor of the Republic was actually a bloodthirsty worshiper of an ancient evil hell-bent on conquering the galaxy.
Now it's up to their small group to stop a genocide, disable a couple million mind control chips, and keep the most powerful child since his father from falling into the hands of the Sith.
That was a bit more than Commander Cody could deal with normally. And yes, he knew that the alternative was far worse, but still. If the Force was listening, he would like to make a complaint.

Summary
After a year on the run Fives, Echo, and Dogma have finally- reluctantly- reached Coruscant and the Jedi Temple. Now the Jedi have three traumatized children on their hands, news of an army they never asked for made to fight a war that hasn't started, and the same feeling of impending darkness that's been clouding the Force since Naboo. And as if that weren't enough there are those out there- Sith and Kaminoan alike- who want their property back, and they'll do anything to make it happen.
(Echo and Dogma learn how to be themselves and Fives learns how to relax. Anakin gets to be a big brother, Obi-Wan goes grey before his time, and Yoda teaches children to be children. Mace just wants to kick a few people down reactor shafts. And somehow, this mess ends up changing the course of the galaxy.)

The Empire gets to Hunter before the rest of the Batch does. Admiral Rampart wasn't lying when he said he had no need of a rogue clone deserter, especially not one that's uncontrollable without his inhibitor chip. But there are other uses for a man that was made to be discarded and other ways of exerting control. It's a good thing he has one of those ways handy. And another use in mind.

AU.
Cal Kestis runs away from Bracca after Order 66 instead of sticking around- or at least he tries to. It doesn't work very well. At all. It's his own fault, really.
A year later, Kal Skirata and a few of his sons go to blow off some steam and find a battered Jett'ika instead. And they keep him, because of course they do.
In the short run this changes very little. In the long run? That remains to be seen, but they're willing to find out. They do enjoy a good adventure, after all.

Echo and Dogma are set to be decommissioned. But Fives? Fives would rather die himself than let that happen. So he does what no clone should ever have even thought of doing- he takes his brothers and runs. Now, without even realizing, they've stumbled out of their simple lives and into the center of one of the most complex conspiracies in the galaxy. But hey, at least they have each other.

Summary
Cal crash-lands on Bracca at age thirteen, gets poisoned a few months later, and promptly spends the next five years subsisting on safe, reliable ration bars (except when he’s stashing them away for emergencies or forced to eat bad medcenter food). He’s just barely scraping by, but he manages not to starve, even when the Guild’s being a real pain in the ass about actually feeding its scrappers.
Everything works out fine until he winds up on the Mantis, instead. Suddenly he has a new purpose, along with some new crewmates who are way too invested in finding out why Cal doesn’t karking eat… and trying to do something about it.
