But Hattie is back with some badass skk!!!!! Seriously love how they can make the story so creative while still staying true to each character. I’m so pumped to see where this story goes

Somehow still precious and soft even with the amount of fear Dazai has searching for Chuuya. I also really liked the placement of the flashbacks! It was a really nice parallel way to build their relationship :)

“Well then,” it slowly got up and stretched its front legs, its sharp nails digging into the bark. “This might just get interesting.”

No you don’t understand. You don’t understand. This author is so creative and writes such INTERESTING stories and this one was just so wonderful and beautiful and I loved it.
Touchy Dazai was so FUN and it was also fun seeing how he and Chuuya were way closer than they let on at the beginning (even though we all knew they’re close bc it’s them). But watching that grow and watching dazai’s care about others grow was so cool. I really like how this author writes the relationships between everyone. -

“Would it qualify as a suicide if it was an accident? That Chuuya guy doesn’t sound like he was trying to blow you up on purpose. I would argue that maybe he would be interested in some different kind of blowing—”
“Akiko, do not finish that sentence. Haven’t you heard about how annoying he is? I could write ten books about it.”

One of my favorites I’ve read in a while. SUCH a fantastic blend of pain and humor and friendship and fear and love and everything in between.
I really can’t think of another feelings realization scene that I love more than this one. It was so well done with its intensity and panic of the possibility of not seeing each other again.
Dazai and Isamu’s relationship was also just so loving and wholesome from the very start. I love so much how Isamu was protective over Dazai and Chuuya’s relationship from the beginning.
