Truthless Recluse had always disliked the Sage of Truth.
There was something that threw him off about Sage, yet he couldn’t quite place his finger on it. Maybe it was the way he oh-so easily got onto student council, despite only being at his school for a month. Maybe it was how he managed to make new friends after a single conversation. Or maybe it was how he got A-honor roll every quarter, Truthless truly didn’t know. Perhaps it was a culmination of all of the above and more. The point is, he absolutely despised Sage. It was a fact that soon everyone in their grade began to know.

“Chuuya Nakahara?” Dazai called out, taking a slow drag from her cigarette as she approached the woman.
Chuuya looked up, almost startled to see an unfamiliar woman approaching, and not a member of the Sheep. “Yes, that’s me. Do you need something?”
“I was told I may be able to find you out here,” Dazai said with a smile, pulling up next to her and leaning against the wall. She took another drag of her cigarette before taking it out of her mouth between two gloved fingers and offering it to Chuuya. The tip was stained slightly red with her lipstick. “I’ve got a proposition for you, and I have a feeling you’ll have a hard time turning me down.”

Just as fifteen-year-old Oda Sakunosuke was deciding to quit being an assassin so he could start on the path to being a writer, he comes across a young orphan who had been kicked out of his orphanage.
If he wasn't already questioning his decision to take in a clearly already traumatized child, he certainly starts questioning it when the kid turns into a giant tiger some nights...
