Summary
In the files for Team Fortress 2, there is a picture of a coconut. Judging from a comment in the code, it's uncertain who exactly put it there, but trying to remove it causes the game to no longer function. (The source of it was brought to light shortly after I posted this, actually, thereby killing the mystery, but the relevance to the themes of this piece remains the same.)
V1 flips through some of its files before heading into Violence.

It beeps and waves its hands back and forth. It points at its back. Mimes shooting a gun. An extremely loud incorrect buzzer plays as it makes an X with its arms in what, to Gabriel, seems like an unusually human display of panic. His grip on Justice loosens.
Huh?
"...You don't have your weapons?" It nods. "Why?"
It shrugs and grabs a fishing rod.

The first thing Miorine really notices is that Suletta’s eyebrows are much easier to see now, and then, comparatively, the first thing that comes out of her mouth, as jumbled as the rest of her, is: “Oh.”
Suletta squeaks. There are tears forming in her eyes, and Miorine feels some part of her brain click into place when she notices; a crying Suletta has always had some sort of horrible effect on her, and Miorine isn’t sure she’s awake enough to process those feelings right now. But she so desperately doesn’t want Suletta to cry, and so she steps forward, blinking, trying to comprehend better—faster.
“Oh,” she says again stupidly, and then, somewhat alarmed, “you cut your hair!”

She brushes her fingers across Bo’s shoulder pauldron in a way that makes Bo hold her breath. “It suits you,” she says softly, looking down at her. “If you’d like, you could start helping me in the forge. I’ve noticed you’ve not much to do when the others are gone.”
Bo just stares dumbstruck for a second. Two. Three. “Uh,” she finally manages. She takes a breath. “I could do that.”
The Armorer tilts her head in a way that Bo learned to see as a smile.

If Qiqi doesn't review them daily, or try very hard to keep them in her thoughts, it's like they cease to exist.
There's Dr. Baizhu and Changsheng. The Traveler and Paimon. Hu Tao, and routes to avoid her. And...
“Yaoyao,” Qiqi repeats, touching the small ink portrait on the page. Her best friend. She looks up, eyes round with surprise. “Yaoyao. Sorry. I forgot again. What were we doing?”
