Stiles had never cared to try them and didn't want the hassle of selling them so he left them alone. Now he sees a greater purpose for them.
The sheriff would never approve of them being friends let alone them dating. Stiles is underage and Derek is the kind of guy that makes Sheriff Stilinski frown and shake his head before mumbling about how lawless and feral people are in this day and age.
