“I hate my life,” Alex says, walking into the studio, directly into the arm of the couch and face planting on to it.
“Hey!” Reggie yelps as Alex’s torso drapes across his lap. He shifts under Alex and huffs.
“Did you break a nail again?” Luke asks and, like, screw him, does he know how uncomfortable playing the drums is with a broken nail?
Julie, lovely Julie, is the only one who loves him, and she demonstrates this by walking over and crouching down in front of him. She cards her fingers through his hair and hums. “What’s up, Alex?”
“Babysitter,” he says. She’s quiet. He blinks up at her and she’s got a confused look on her face, which, like, okay, that’s fair. That’s not much to go on. “Cute babysitter.”

Summary
When Julie wakes up in 1995, with her very much alive Phantoms, just days before their show at the Orpheum, she's got to figure out how to get back to her time. Why is she here? For what reason was she brought here? Will she ever really get used to Alex, Luke and Reggie being... well, alive? How is she supposed to explain this to them without sounding crazy?
She'd thought telling Flynn she could not only see, but could play music with, three twenty-five year old teenaged ghosts would make her sound insane-- but, what about telling those same three ghosts (who were very much alive here) that she was from twenty-five years in the future, where they were in fact ghosts? That might just top telling Flynn about the guys on the crazy scale.

Alex knows he should be thankful and excited and everything that his friends are, but there's this anxiety nagging at the back of his head, an insect-like buzzing that tells him that a lot of things could go wrong. He's seen Titanic a lof of times, okay? It's a good movie. And he knows how it ends.'Or, Alex falls in love with a cruise ship worker, and it's even more complicated than you think it is.
