“Boyfriend?” Liam splutters. “Boy – I said I weren't a poof, didn't I?”
“He’s me little brother,” Noel sighs. “Followed me here, I suppose. I didn’t know he was gonna show up though, swear down.”
“Your brother,” Richie repeats, eyebrows climbing higher. His shrewd eyes flick back and forth between the two of them. “Oh yes, of course.”
“And who are you, then?” Liam demands. “Some kind of pimp, are ya?”
Richie laughs – it’s not a pleasant sound. “I’m a director, kid. I make films.”

Summary
Noel doesn't believe in a god, not in a religious way, but he does think that some things happen for a reason. There must've been a reason why his mother died at birth, why he had to go through orphanage and orphanage until he had aged out of them and why the universe must see it fit to reunite him with his past like this.
Or: Liam is an up and coming model and Noel is a seasoned photographer eight years his senior.
