Creepy. Once he finds the rest of the Chain—because of course this recent portal had to separate them—and makes sure everything in his bag is in order—because of course the portal had to open under him early morning, while his equipment was still unequipped—he is going to complain. Just a little bit. He might like exploring new places without a map, but it’s decidedly less fun when the only thing to discover is fog… fog, and more fog. And trees with sorta-faces. And trees with sorta-faces in fog.
He didn’t even get to have Wild’s breakfast crepes.
His stomach growls at the reminder, and Hyrule does his best to ignore the slight pulse of pain that follows too. He’s hungry, and normally this wouldn’t be so damning if he hadn’t been so for days.
Maybe even longer.

Twins are an omen of bad luck.
Link can’t recall when, exactly, he was told this fact. Maybe he was never even told, the whispered superstition something he figured out on his own from overhearing the castle’s servants. Either way, the idea is something he carries with him in his earliest memories.
How unfortunate, then, that the first thing he usually recalls from childhood is looking into the mirror and finding Zelda.

Summary
After what feels like far too long, he finally calms down, panting heavily. The words are-you-okay are on the tip of Izumi's tongue, but as the human turns to face him, he falters. How would a human react upon seeing him? With fear? Panic? Instinctually, Izumi feels a familiar surge of magic at the back of his throat, taking the shape of a garbled voice, a melody on the verge of spilling out, a spell—
But when their eyes meet, Izumi is met with a color brighter than any emerald he’s found underwater. The tune fades away.
“Oh,” the human breathes out, voice sounding scratchy and hoarse. A wet patch of orange hair falls against freckled cheeks. From behind, the moon perfectly frames his face like a filled-in halo. “You’re beautiful.”

“You’re gonna get old, you know?” Leo says during their second year. “And get wrinkles on that beautiful face of yours?”
“It’s not like I plan on living that long,” Izumi replies. “I’ll live a short but beautiful life.”
And to that, Leo replies “what? You should live long! Let’s be friends even when we’re old men, alright?” And then he reaches out his hand. “Pinky swear—it’s a promise!”
Izumi doesn’t reach back.
