Summary
That night, Stede gnawed the wooden support even thinner. Then he tilted his head to one side; gripped the bottom part of it in his teeth and pulled. He felt the wood splintering, and then it snapped. As he pulled it upwards, the wire netting attached to it lifted as well, creating a gap between it and the floor. He took the netting in his teeth, grimacing at the acrid metallic taste of it, and bent it further. Eventually the gap was just big enough for him to squeeze under.
He stared at the gap in slight disbelief. Although this had been his plan all along, it was somehow only now hitting him that this was happening. His heart was beating faster and his mouth felt dry. He licked his paws and started grooming his face, which helped calm him a little.
Stede is a domestic rabbit, frustrated and bored with his monotonous life. Ed is a wild rabbit: chief of a highly successful warren, but equally frustrated and bored. When Stede escapes and makes his way to Ed’s warren they feel an immediate kinship. But then a new threat emerges and they must use all their ingenuity to save their warren from being destroyed…

Summary
Renown sorcerer and legendary pirate captain Edward Teach runs into a fascinating little man by the name of Thomas, selling items enchanted with a magic far wilder and more potent than any Ed’s seen in his supernaturally long life. Fascinated, Ed quickly realises Thomas is hiding an incredibly dangerous secret behind his obviously fake moustache and sunshine voice. Dangerous enough to attract the attention of the Empire, notorious for collecting the magically inclined and bending them to do their bidding.
As Ed races to unravel the mystery surrounding the man, he realizes they have far more in common than he could have ever imagined - and finds his own painful past mirrored in the eyes of another. Someone who can really see him for who he is.
With slumbering gods and ancient deities roaming the lands, magic is sought after by the rich and powerful, a weapon and a tool to further their interests and fuel their wars. Those who can wield it must choose what they stand for, who they’ll fight for, and how far they’ll go to keep their freedom.

Summary
Stede, a history professor specializing in the golden age of piracy, is fascinated when art professor Edward Teach joins his humble university’s faculty. Even more fascinating are the rumors that Ed is actually the famous, anonymous artist, Blackbeard. Stede falls a little bit in love. Then a lot.
Across the academic year, Stede tips headfirst into dizzying romance, mind-blowing sex, and happiness he couldn't have dreamed up if he'd tried. He learns lessons he never knew he needed, forcing him to reevaluate everything from his career goals to his relationships with his children. Ed is at the center of it all, teaching Stede at every turn exactly how wonderful life can be—and the startling speed with which fear and hesitation could snatch away his newfound love.
Eventually, the only thing that matters for them both is learning enough about love to stop it from slipping through their fingers.

Summary
Ed is an engineer aboard the Revenge, an interplanetary research vessel on a multi-year mission to study Jupiter's moon Europa. An accident requires that Ed awaken from cryostasis over six months early, and finds his only companion to be Stede, the ship's onboard AI. They develop an unconventional friendship, but is it possible to have more?
This is classic mutual pining with a sci-fi twist, inspired by all of my favorite stories about the nature of personhood.
-----
“You–” Ed was struggling to parse what Stede was saying. “You’re playing your version of this song for me, right now? Like, in real time?”“Yes, Edward, that’s correct,” said Stede softly.
Ed’s brain momentarily seized up. He supposed it made sense that Stede was capable of learning a set of rules to do something like arrange and play a piece of music. There was something unnerving about this song, though. It felt, well–it felt organic . Reactive. Almost collaborative in a way. Ed was lost in the push and pull of it, until the last notes softly petered out.
“So, what did you think?” asked Stede. It sounded nervous again. Why the hell would someone program an anxiety response into a bot?
