”Is this… uhm,” Riku clears his throat. “Is this Kairi Kekoa?”
”Yes…?” She replies, and Riku can hear cogs churning in her brain as she tries to place his voice, tries to place his accent, familiar (of course, the island’s twang was impossible to lose completely), but tinged with a new city sound. “Who is this?”
”Kairi,” Riku starts, and god, he’s so bad at this. He stares up at the ceiling. “It’s uhm. It’s Riku. Riku Akana?”

At 21 years old, Riku finally wants to get started on his G.E.D program, but he needs some paperwork from back home. Issue is, he hasn't been to Destiny Island in 5 years-- 3 of which he spent under Xemnas' (Ansem's) wing in the Organization, a group who own and operate clubs and an underground drug ring. Can he handle showing his childhood best friends who he was? -

Xion smiles.
“Oh, come on,” Roxas bit back. “You can’t be serious.”
Xion tilts her head, smile widening.
“Please,” Roxas pleaded, his eyes softening.
Axel started between the two in confusion.
Xion raised her eyebrows.
“Fine!” Roxas finally concedes, clearly having lost whatever imaginary conversation he had been having with the black haired girl.
