That day in the Build Swap arena, if someone had told PearlescentMoon that one day she would kiss Mumbo Jumbo, she wouldn't have been that surprised.
He was cute, awkward in an endearing sort of way, and blushed the most spectacular shade of red when she teased him.
So sure. Why not? Kissing him could be fun.
If someone told her that kiss would be almost 5 years later, on Hermitcraft, while trying to avoid being killed by her best friend Gem, Pearl would have had about a trillion question. With maybe the most pressing being who the hell was Gem?----------

Langa pushes his board back and forth, the little rumble of the tires filling the late afternoon quiet between them as he takes a deep, audible breath, looks directly at Reki, and nods. “Yes.”
And that’s a surprise. Reki tries not to let it show. “Have you guys been on any dates?”
“Yeah. I mean, I thought they were dates.”
That’s… kind of sweet. Sweet in the way that feels like it's going to make Reki sick. “How have you even had time for that?” he mutters. “You spend all your time with me.”
