jeongguk and seokjin call him a hypocrite, and they're probably right. yoongi is the last person you want to go to for relationship advice because he doesn't even have his own relationship figured out, if you can even call it that. he doesn't really know what him and hoseok are doing and honestly, he's too scared to ask.
all yoongi knows is that he wants to kiss hoseok and hold his hand and tell him that he loves him, but he can't because hoseok doesn't want him like that. doesn't want them to be more than just sleeping partners--fuck buddies.
and yoongi will learn to live with it because having hoseok in any way is better than not having him at all.(alternatively: the friends with benefits au that gets better in time.)

a few years ago the world went to literal hell from a virus that spread like a wildfire. the population has had to learn how to adapt and survive in a world filled with hostility and cruelty.
hoseok has been getting along decently, and he isn't dead yet so that's something. however, he struggles to make it through the days filled with unfairness and grief.
when hoseok meets yoongi, he has a good feeling that things could get better.

"can you come here, please?" hoseok's tone was soft, gentle.
still, yoongi shuffled towards the bed where hoseok had moved to sit on the edge, patiently waiting. he took small steps forward until he stood right in front of hoseok, in between his spread legs. yoongi squeezed his eyes shut, too embarrassed to look at the younger. he could already feel that his face was flushed. after a few beats of silence, yoongi heard hoseok exhale slowly, like he was having trouble breathing properly. which wasn't fair, because if anything, yoongi was the one who was trying to keep his breaths even. (he was failing.)
yoongi couldn't stop his noticeable shiver when hoseok lightly ran his fingers up and down yoongi's sides. he fought to keep his hands at his sides instead of crossing them over his bare chest.
"look at me, yoonie,"
fuck.
yoongi's eyes snapped open and he stared at hoseok with wide eyes.
"there he is," the younger drawled out. "there's my yoonie."
oh.
oh, fuck.
