His hair was down, falling almost to his calves and his robe was thin, barely more than a sleeping robe. Liu Qingge paused. He'd never seen Shen Qingqiu in less than three layers. Since Shen Qingqiu's qi deviation, he'd stopped dressing so fastidiously, no longer favoring high collars and sleeves that reached down to his fingers, but he still never walked around like this.
There was something else strange, too. Something in the set of his shoulders, or the tilt of his head, like he'd walked a long way to get here and still could not rest. His gaze was distant. Not cold like Liu Qingge had suspected, but flat. There was no derision or joy there. There was nothing at all.

Two mermen, their scaled tails shining in the hot sun - one a lovely, deep purple that shimmers almost to blue in certain places, and the other golden as the sunshine itself, with scattered specklings of pale, pale lavender and pink - one lying on top of the other, their tails twined together at the ends.
Their eyes are both closed, and the one on top - the one with the purple tail - is muttering something, face screwed up in concentration as the golden one’s tail thrashes and he squirms, until they both moan and something Wuxian can only imagine is blissful pleasure comes over their faces.
The golden one thrashes again, and says something Wuxian couldn’t even begin to pronounce, let alone understand, and the purple mer moves above him, his arms holding him up and undulating his tail a few times, gasping, and Wuxian’s eyes widen as he gets a glimpse between them, at the way the appendage he assumes to be a cock moves, flexible and twisting, like a little tentacle.
Wei Wuxian stumbles across mer!Jiang Cheng and mer!Jin Ling fucking on a beach, and stays to watch.
