THIS FIC OMG. The author has given us 72 chapters - FOUR HUNDRED AND FIVE THOUSAND WORDS - of gorgeous, heartbreaking musings on personhood and love and loss and science. With perfect characterisation and dialogue. It will break your heart and consume your brain. You will feel desperately sorry for an original character who isn't even alive in the traditional sense. Don't get into the denouement if you need to go to sleep any time soon, is my advice, because you WILL stay up all night and go to work tomorrow a crying zombie. But READ THIS NOW, READ EARLY, READ OFTEN, SEAR IT INTO YOUR BRAIN.
