To be the Subject of a Living Diorama was another matter entirely. Only the desperate would choose such a life. Only those who had people depending on them would be recruited for such a role. A role that they were required to fulfil until death.
But Alina had no choice. It was that or let the orphans starve.
Life as a Subject of a Living Diorama was a lonely existence. Requiring absolute stillness as her Diorama is displayed in a gallery for potential buyers.
Suffice it to say, this was as hard as it was dull.
And then, a man she eventually nicknamed “The General” started visiting the gallery…
