Summary
“Where do the bruises come from?” Katsuki asks one day, a full month after their first conversation.
It takes Shouto a second to register the question, since it’s so casual that he wonders if he misheard. But Katsuki’s eyes are on his neck and Shouto touches the side of it absentmindedly, because even if he can’t see them, he knows the bruises there.
“My dad,” Shouto replies before he can stop himself, but he doesn’t feel a thing when he utters those words. It’s a hollow confession that carries no weight, and he’s not sure how he can say such a thing without even skipping a beat.
Or: Shouto learns to breathe with as much ease as it takes to kiss Katsuki.
