Summary
"It doesn’t take him long to realize he only knows of one person who has managed to cause a positive impression on Darius in record time. But if there’s not one big, specific gesture she did to accomplish that, what can he even do? Being himself wouldn’t work for him as it did for her, or clearly he wouldn’t be having this problem. It’s useless to think about it from that angle.
Unless…
Unless he doesn’t focus on being ‘himself’, but rather on being more like Luz?"
Or: Remembering how insistent Darius was on Luz having a security escort, Hunter decides that the best way to impress the man is to act like Luz.

Summary
Set at the end of Any Sport in a Storm. Darius helps Hunter set up his Penstagram account and has an unwanted revelation.
“Give me that,” Darius said, snatching the scroll from the kid’s hand. “Your username shouldn’t just be your name. It should tell people something about you.”
“Oh,” Hunter said, disgruntled. He frowned pensively. “Like what?”
“I don’t know,” Darius sighed, exasperated. “It should reference something you like. Like a hobby, or an interest.”
Hunter stared at him. Darius was suddenly keenly aware that he might be treading on dangerous ground here. “Like… missions?”

Summary
Maybe Hunter wouldn’t have liked any of them. Maybe none of them would’ve liked him. Maybe it was a good thing they never met in person, because he knows all too well how disappointingly horrific family can be. Maybe all of these things were true, or maybe they weren't.
They still deserved better than this. They deserved to be remembered, in some sense of the word. And if the last person who'd know they existed was a kid who had no right to be living in their place, then so be it.
This was the least he could do. Really, it was the only thing he could do.
