    Fantasitc world building; with the added element of Timetravel fix-it. Only [current] downside is that it is not finished!

    Edit: Looks like this will remain unfinished. But what there is is really good and worth it if you are into timetravel - though its a shame that we never get to see WWXs fix-it, only the beginning stages!
    edit2: wait what! its been 7years (?) but there is an update!!!! OMG. its like christmas!!

    Zhou Zishu is ready to be done with Tian Chuang. He's ready for his seventh nail, and ready to wander before facing his eighty one brothers with a bowed head in the afterlife. He will do this after, apparently, one last mission that's simply too intriguing to pass up.

    The Ghost Valley has sent a letter past its borders, asking to attend the Heroes Conference of the Five Lakes Alliance. The Five Lakes Alliance, unbelievably, has accepted. Both no doubt have hidden intentions, and Prince Jin wants eyes and ears on the scene. Zhou Zishu can't quite bring himself to deny his own ravenous curiosity enough not to accept.

    The stunning beauty that shows up with the girls of the Department of the Unfaithful, the one who introduces himself as Wen Kexing, is universally assumed to be a favorite plaything of the yet unseen Ghost Valley Master. His beauty and charm may be enough to captivate all the others into underestimating him, but Zhou Zishu knows a killer's eyes when he sees one. Wen Kexing is a puzzle he'd like to figure out, and Zishu himself can't say he isn't also captivated by dark eyes and a smile that wouldn't be out of place with blood in its teeth.

    I loved this fic. This is a fantastic rework of the series that diverges just before canon starts. There are some hilarious moments with the layers of hidden ID that I adored. I like how WKX is slightly, I say "smarter" than in show!canon and plans a revenge that is beautifully executed with a whole lot less collateral damage. (Because while I get where the show was coming from, I also thought that it was a bit too much of a heavy handed way of going about it. The much more subtle, targetted plan in this fic appeals to me a lot & it still achieves the same goals). I highly reccommend this fic & I know I am going to read it again (and again).
    Edit: I love this fic a ridiculous amount & have (currently) re-read it at least 5 times.

Memories of Siji Manor and much of his past washed away by Meng Po soup, Zhou Zishu cheerfully carves out a new place for himself and draws the attention of the vicious Valley Master while he does it.

    I throughly enjoyed this fic; while it doesnt actually get into any of the canon events, on its own it sets up WenZhou as a power couple that are going to take the world by storm. That relationship building feels extremely satisfying. I would highly reccomend this story.
    Edit: Now there is a sequel that *does* get into canon and its a great run through with wenzhou as ghosts from the start.

    This story is really hard hitting but I cannot get it out of my head. The way BK5 canon is rewoven in this is amazing as is The contrast between how Jun Wu & Xie Lian treats Hua Cheng, why & how this happened, and how despite the brainwashing HC is still himself enough to question what is happening. This fic is heavy on the angst; and is probably the heaviest of all my bookmark recs but it is *so* worth it. One of the best stories I have read in this fandom.

    An excellent Modern Cultivation Au. I love how naturaly the cultivation setting is incorperated into the modern day. This story focuses a lot on the characters & their improving relationship (as they work through their complicated history) with a overarching plot that develops very slowly. Its an enjoyable ride and definitely worth the read.
