Summary
The golden trio isolate and distance themselves from the world after the war. They trust no one but themselves, everyone else lied to betrayed them in some way after all. and anyone who didnt was never trustworthy anyways. eighth year comes and they attend, leading them so hide away in snake dens, ancient ruins rooms, and other unknown odd forbidden places. How the trio are now, in the persepctive of growing allys and those they may use in there personal war with isolation and whos in power of the wisard world. Can they trust the sltherines and the whispers of Hogwarts? Do they want to?

Steve was normal because he wasn't different. it didn't matter that he wasn't as normal as people though, only that he wasn't different enough to be anything but normal.
Robin was different, but she knew what happened to people who were different so she pretended not to be, wanted to be normal, craved it, wanted to be safe. Wanted to stop being scared.

Summary
What if Magic worked a little differently? What if Arthur knew?
What if Arthur being born of magic changed him just enough to love merlin, to hold him?
Arthur discovers merlins magic and choses to learn about it, instead of fight it. Choses to acsept merlin as anything but evil and thus magic cannot be pure cruilty. The lie he was raised in will become his salvation if its the last thing he dose.

Summary
Just like the many amazing Slytherin Harry Potter fics, this is my take on what would happen if Harry Potter were just a little bit smarter, a little bit crueler, and acted a little bit more like the Slytherin we knew he could be.
Takes inspiration from too many stories to count, but includes tropes like Slytherin Harry, awesome goblins, Dumbledore bashing, and Harry destroying any machinations laid out for him simply by existing and giving things a second thought. He refuses to be anybody's puppet.
After Harry is introduced to the wizarding world, some red flags are raised and questions left unanswered, so he decides to ditch his babysitter and return to Diagon Alley unsupervised. Harry returns to the bank and finds that Dumbledore has been manipulating everything from behind the scenes. Eager to leave the Dursleys behind, Hadrian - he learned his name was - will do whatever it takes to get out from under Dumbledore's thumb, even if it means walking a darker path than expected of the Wizarding world's Savior.
We follow Hadrian on his journey as he explores the wixen world, makes new friends, makes new enemies, and makes plans to ensure that he is never used as a pawn again.
