Summary
‘Death is Truth. Truth is Death’ is both a succinct description of Antiocheanism as well as its official motto. Born into this nihilist cult which worships death, Frank is taught that there is nothing more to life than the intrinsic animalistic urge to survive, wrought with suffering, doomed to the same inescapable ending. Motivated by fear (and a small, shameful flicker of hope that there may be something more to live for), Frank makes a daring escape into the freezing mountains of Italy with zero plans as to where he’ll go or how he’ll survive.
A lengthy carriage ride away lives Count Way, a wealthy nobleman with hair as black as crow’s feathers and a presence almost as godly as Antiochus himself. Returning from the frost-covered wilderness west of Helena Manor, Count Way’s hunter arrives with something more precious in tow than just a winter feast.

Summary
There’s no way Gerard can say no to that face, which really, is unfortunately beautiful even in his distress. Unfortunate because Gerard knows that helping him is likely criminal. He doesn’t want to go to prison because the probably-terrorist he helped escape was too gorgeous to resist. ‘But he was cute, your honour!’ he imagines telling the judge. He doesn’t think that would be an admissible defense in court.

Summary
I wrote this in one mad dash today, riffing off of a couple of things that have been pestering me lately; what came out was very much not the rom-com I hoped for, but rather a meta-ish piece on fanfiction and celebrity. I don't know if the things I was thinking about are clear at all, but that's posting off-the-cuff for you. I'm working on not making caveats on my work, but that's caveat enough, isn't it? I hope you don't think I'm an asshole, that's what I mean.

This is a brilliant piece of writing about the characterization of Bert not only in fic but by fans/not fans in general. About his complexity and humanity and how people tend to flatten these boys into the simple characters they want them to be.
