Summary
Stiles never expected to end up in an abusive relationship- but then, does anyone? He just made a choice, and at the time, it didn't seem like an insane one. It's easy to obsess over what he might have missed, what he didn't see, but that's not what his therapist wants him to focus on- if he wants to make a better choice in the future, it might be more helpful to look not for warnings, but for the absence of them.
It's a process- one that that's going to get a boost he never would have taken on his own after he sees his ex again when he least expects it.
