Going to a university at a different city was Todoroki's chance at freedom and having the life he never had as a child. He finally gets to make friends and build long lasting bonds with the people he meets at university, go to parties, host sleepovers, and just have fun without the overwhelming presence of his father looming over him.
His first hope at making a friend is a buff, tattooed, spiky haired blonde, with a vulgar vocabulary named Bakugou Katsuki. The walking example of the type of person his father warned him to stay away from.

Summary
Even if he was starting to get familiar with his classmates scents, he still never took off his blockers. Letting others smell him felt vulnerable in a way that he didn't feel often, if ever. Sure, he wanted to be a part of whatever his class had going on, but the idea of people being able to know how he was feeling from a single whiff scared him more than he would admit. The thought of letting himself relax enough to do anything like an omega—scenting, nesting, biting—was also fairly stressful.
Shouto doesn't know how to act like a pack with his new class. When his first heat hits, he doesn't know what to do with himself. (aka: he's ashamed to be an omega, but his class (especially Bakugou) helps him adjust!)

Bakugo's Omega was pregnant.
His partner of SIX fucking years.
The person he'd built an entire life with—was carrying his kid and hadn't said a goddamn word about it.
All because six years ago, Bakugo had been a twenty two year old goddamn idiot, who'd said that he didn't want kids.
And now his sweet Todoroki was pregnant, scared, and keeping it all a secret.
But there was no fucking way Bakugo was going to let Todoroki suffer through this, thinking Bakugo didn't want a family.
He just… needed to show him. Prove that he could do this.
That he could be the kind of Alpha Todoroki deserved, the kind of partner who could handle a family and hero work and all of the absolutely fucking terrifying, overwhelming responsibility that came with it.
And he needed to do it without spooking Todoroki into thinking Bakugo had somehow found out, because clearly the guy was already stressed enough.
Okay... Bakugo could do this. He could do fucking anything he put his mind to, that much he knew for sure.
And that way, when Todoroki was ready to tell him, Bakugo would be ready.
He'd be the best goddamn father their kid could ask for.
