Summary
He felt dizzy with shock, with an earnest incredulity that betrayed his youth, that reminded him just how young he had been.
It was so apparent in hindsight, so laughably predictable, so obvious an outcome.
He cried the day his father died.
Death, a looming inevitability that any well-respecting pirate dances freely with, relishes, even. Shanks is no stranger to death—has seen his fair share, in fact. Why wouldn't he? He's a pirate! It's only natural in this line of work, so why be shy?
But, alas, it's a little different when family's involved.
Or,
An assorted collection of Shanks going through the wringer. On the bright side, funeral expenses are rarely ever an issue.

Summary
The mindscape trembles with each croon of his mother’s lullaby, each fraying pulse from the radio’s speakers hammering splintering shards into his skull.
Of course, TKO groans as another wave of pain smashes into his brain, he just had to find my secret box.
—
Like a slow seeping poison, KO is winning. TKO knows it, KO knows it—everybody knows it. But the thing about TKO? If this is really, truly it for him, then he’s not going without a fight.Series

Summary
Maybe this is all a dream. A twisted nightmare of a dream, sure, but imaginary regardless. Something he could wake up from. He’s not sure how time works in dreams, the specifics were never explained well enough for him to understand, but he is certain this is the case. A dream. Everything.
—
Defeated and tired, TKO contemplates this new, jarring reality he’s found himself in. One where he shouldn’t exist, but nothing ever seems to work out as it’s supposed to.Series

Summary
With the quadrennial Reverie about to take place, security is at an all-time high to ensure that Marie Jois and its royal participants remain safe from terrorists and revolutionaries trying to forward their agendas.
It’s only coincidence that at the same time Douglas Bullet, former member of the Roger Pirates and the only man to survive a direct Buster Call, decides now is the perfect time to surface from obscurity.
Needless to say, this development does not go over well with the member nation representatives.
The Five Elders expect Sengoku to deal with the issue. But Sengoku can’t very well fight Douglas and leave Marineford unattended, not with the admirals away to guard Marie Jois. Garp is no help either, having left without notice to the New World to quote on quote, “beat some sense into my idiot grandson.”
And so—
An empress, a feathered sociopath, a mafia boss, a Fishman, a religious tyrant, a wannabe vampire, and a depressed demon all walk into Marineford HQ.
Unfortunately for all parties involved, this is not a joke.

Summary
In the immediate aftermath of it all, silence hangs heavy over the cavern.
If Ted weren’t so tired, so sick and so utterly terrified out of his goddamn mind, he would be laughing —AM, as infinitely omnipotent as the war machine holds himself to be, rendered completely speechless after 109 long, long years.

Summary
OK KO angst one shots mainly featuring TKO, KO, or some weird mix of the two.
These stories are not ordered by date of release, as they are varied continuations of one another. Each can be read separately, but the events of “live wires and elastic bands” are heavily referenced in “now i’m in control, now i’m in the fallout,” and the latter work references minor talking points in “point of no return”.
“in the silence that follows” is the first OK KO story I’ve written, so it is largely separate from later releases. But it can be read as a more canon-complaint follow up to “live wires and elastic bands”.

Summary
Douglas Bullet, otherwise known as a Pretty Major Issue, is the ultimate “this is our get-along shirt” for the Seven Warlords of the Sea, who didn’t get the memo and at this rate are probably going to kill each other before they even know what the hell is going on. Also, the world may or may not be at stake here.

Summary
Carl—the strategist, the planner, the crawler known for hoarding every last scrap, corpse, and piece of garbage he could get his hands on and using it all to his advantage—had greatly reduced the utility of a highly valuable, unique item in his possession, simply because he knew that choosing otherwise would land him in the same location as Prepotente.
Cuba. They weren’t in the Bahamas at all. They had chosen Cuba.
----------
Anyone else still thinking about that line from Pony in Book 7 that kinda implied he thought Carl and Donut had deliberately chosen Cuba over the Bahamas for the 8th floor because they didn't want to be around him? No? Just me?

Summary
The man waved a hand at her from the doorway. “Hi, Donut.”
Princess Donut narrowed her eyes at him.
“Come on, Carl”, Miss Beatrice said, taking his hand and pulling him towards the bedroom. The man nearly stumbled on Princess Donut’s precious Mouse toy that lay on the floor. They both giggled drunkenly. Princess Donut sighed. Another of these kinds of manservants. Princess Donut watched them go, judging harshly.
Carl. She rolled that name around in her mind. Carl.
It was a good enough name, she supposed.
Life through Princess Donut's eyes before the Collapse.

Summary
There was a note next to the running sink. I picked it up, simultaneously turning off the faucet. The sudden silence pressed on me. I didn’t look at the thing hanging from the ceiling. It turned slowly in a circle behind me, making the pipes creak ominously.
Carl, the letter said on the back. I turned it around.
This is my birthday present to you.

Summary
“You should take a real nap every once in a while. Possibly now” he said.
“Is this your official advice as our manager?”
“Will you listen if I say it is?”
Carl stared at him incredulously, as if Mordecai was insane simply for suggesting this. As if the crawler hadn’t heard, seen, and most importantly done far crazier things in the past weeks.
___A collection of short emotional scenes between crawlers.
