Tom isn't a regular Guardian but Harry wasn't a regular ward. Harry and Tom begin the harrowing journey of being a family together as they navigate the many road blocks. Amongst them are Tom's flagging health, strange dreams, the struggles of a family of trauma survivors, Harry juggling old and new friendships and what kind of year at Hogwarts would it be if he didn't get the odd death threat?
This fic is a continuation of Soul Bound, it should be read first.

Summary
When Voldemort possessed Harry at the Ministry he had felt something akin to peace. It was easy. Too easy.
What happens if the Horcrux in Harry actually acts like a soul bond and possessing him was the last thing that kept them apart? What if that was what it would take to bring sanity back into Voldemort's life?
This is a story exploring magical theory, incorporating existing Muggle wiccan practices, relationships of nearly every variety and of emotional growth. Harry learns that not everything is black and white, evil and good. Tom actually tries to make things "better" in the Wizarding World but he's still a pretty messed up individual. Maybe Harry will be helping with that?

Neville failed. Voldemort wins.
All the Muggleborn's and the traitor Half-Bloods are rounded up into a prison where they are kept in appalling conditions while the Purebloods try and figure out how to recover their stolen magic. Severus Snape is not only alive but highly respected among the new Regime - not that he appreciates this. Hermione lives - and is in the prison until she and a few others are moved to make more space. They are assigned to high-ranking Death Eaters as slaves.

Hermione works in the potions development department of the Department of Mysteries. She has a potions accident that causes her to lose track of gender, names, and faces of every person in her life. She can remember all the details, even the conversations, but she cannot picture faces or names or have any recognition with them. She has to relearn how to trust people. She ends up, in a post-war world, developing a mostly functional friendship(perhaps leading to more) with Draco Malfoy, whom no other person in the Wizarding World beyond the other social post-war pariahs, would have anything to do with.
Without realizing it she knits together a dysfunctional relationship between the two sides, but at what cost to her current friendships? If they even ARE friendships.
