Examining him closer, he is surprisingly drawn to every single flaw, every single imperfection reflected on his face: the red cheeks, burnt and scarred by the relentless Savannah sun, the freckles and the sunspots placed haphazardly along his skin, as though kisses, the tooth that was missing, shown when the boy spoke, and the unkempt bird's nest of blonde fluffy hair reaching his shoulder blades - all of these characteristics are everything that Vil despises; it is the criteria for which he criticizes and judges people unrelentingly. So why did he wish to speak to Rook Hunt so much?
When Rook smiles, the world turns alight. He has to avert his eyes so as not to get blinded. "It felt like you… understood this turmoil I ended up telling you about. For the first time, someone understood."
