Summary
Choi Yeonjun has always been someone unattainable and out of everyone's league. Words do not do his beauty any justice. So, when Choi Beomgyu meets him again coincidentally, he decides to take on this chance to shoot his shot now.

“Can I buy you a drink?” Beomgyu speaks up, not wanting to let the chance pass before him. He never had the courage to approach Yeonjun back in university because he felt like he was too young and inexperienced for someone like him. Now, however, at the age of twenty-two, freshly graduated with honours in business and currently working in his father’s company, Beomgyu has more experience under his belt. Probably not enough, but he is still willing to shoot his shot.
The pretty boy turns around and his eyes rake over Beomgyu from head to toe, as if trying to gage if he is worthy of his time. His eyes show no recognition, which is not a surprise, considering that they have never talked before this.
“I’ll take a whiskey,” Yeonjun accepts the offer graciously.

Yeonjun always ranks first. Always.
And Choi Soobin – his gorgeous, overachieving, infuriating rival, – is always second. Again.It’s become a routine, at this point. Yeonjun at the top of the academic rankings, Soobin just below, glaring at the list like it personally betrayed him. For everyone else, it’s predictable. For Yeonjun? It’s thrilling. Addictive. The tension between them is practically its own language now: sharp words, lingering glances, victories that taste way better when Soobin’s watching. So when Yeonjun leans in with his usual smile and teases him, he expects irritation.
“Looks like someone’s second… again,” He says.
What he gets instead is Soobin turning to him slowly, eyes glinting, lips curling into something dark and amused. He leans in, close enough for Yeonjun to stop breathing, fists clenching in anticipation.
“Funny,” Soobin murmurs, voice low and smooth, “because outside university rankings it’s always you under me.”
Rivalry was fun. Obsession was inevitable. But falling? That was never part of the plan.

Yeonjun threaded their fingers together and stood up on his tiptoes. "Not the most powerful thing," he whispered into Soobin's ear. "I don't think the scientists have seen your-"
Soobin giggled, ticklish. He shrugged away, narrowly dodging Yeonjun's teeth closing around his earlobe.
