Summary
(a snapshot inspired by this fic!A scene that doesn’t exist that wouldn’t leave my mind)
Struggling to reclaim a body he doesn’t feel like he belongs in whilst being thrust back into a life he left long behind, John is grappling with the happiness of seeing his family so young once more. Blessed with a second chance to do better, he can’t help feel bitter about himself back then, and vowing to change.
This is only reinforced after a visit from his young son, Jack.

Summary
So there were multiple things that led Keith to be in the situation he was in now. Inexperience on freeways, icy roads, 30 minutes from home, in a shitty car, with his one close family member out of the country. All the ingredients for a terrible night.
Keith wouldn’t say he was surprised when he gained consciousness again, because he’d always had bad luck growing up. But this, this event had to take the cake.

Summary
The thought of Sirius was too distracting, he was surprised at the fact that he could not focus on his very important schoolwork.
What was he doing at this time anyways? Remus asked himself. Sirius was an enigma ever since Remus set his eyes on the boy. His long dark hair, barely contained, appeared to have been tousled by a few sets of hands. Sirius’ face did not live up to his ‘name,’ as the first time Remus saw him, and nearly every time since, Sirius either wore a grin or a smirk. The boy made an obvious effort to look as playful and devious as he could, only opting to look serious when ordered to by his superiors.
He had a sharp jawline, paired with dark eyes and a perfect smile, the type of smile that made Remus see stars every time he saw it. (Which was a lot: whether that was a good thing or a bad thing, Remus hadn’t quite figured that out yet.)
Overall, Remus knew he was going to have an ‘interesting’ school year the moment he saw Sirius, especially so after seeing him to be his new roommate.

“Oh what did you see five?” Sam asked, flicking his eyes towards the sky to see what she was pointing at.
Five put her left hand on his arm, sliding her finger to spell out the word ‘Orions Belt.’
Sam huffed a laugh until, “Oh! I see it!”

Summary
Rose volunteers for a nonprofit that rescues sex-trafficked omegas, and Shane thinks it's a great cause. He even attends their fundraising galas.
Then, one night, Rose calls to ask for a favor: She wants Shane to let a recently-rescued male omega live with him. In his apartment.
His name is Ilya, Rose explains, and the thing is, despite omega hormone levels, he acts and smells just like an alpha. He can't keep staying in an omega group home because he's scaring the other omegas and endangering the staff.
But he could live with Shane, Rose insists. "You're a big strong alpha hockey player, so he can't intimidate you physically. But also he needs to feel safe, which he can with you, because you're not like other alphas." She pauses. "You know?"
By which she means Shane has never had a full rut, his scent glands barely work, he can't form a knot, and he has no interest in sticking his dick in anyone. Which, whatever. It's fine.
But if being a failure as an alpha means he can help this omega, Ilya, who's apparently as much of a biological anomaly as Shane is…
Shane says yes.
And maybe it's a stupid decision. But he knows that it's also the right one.
