Summary
Hermione is lost, convinced she is coping in the most efficient way in the aftermath of the war. She has left the wizarding world behind her, hiding from the reality and expectations in muggle London, passing the time working in a small bookshop. However, hiding doesn’t mean a quiet life and she learns the issues you ignore have a strange habit of making themselves known to you. When Hermione keeps being rescued by an oddly familiar stranger and discovers a new author she feels she knows through the pages, she doesn’t know if she is losing herself more or if she is finally found.

Summary
A missed connection on the way home from Hermione's family ski trip in the middle of fifth year changes everything, and causes Hermione to question some implicit assumptions of the wizarding world.
It also lays the groundwork for her inexorable collision in the Department of Mysteries with the /last/ woman to hold the title of "Brightest Witch of Her Age" -- Bellatrix Black Lestrange.

Her new child is a joy and a handful. Her new daughter has two characteristic traits, dark wild curls, and unnaturally green eyes. Each comes from a different biological parent. One is a threat that must be eliminated, the other… Well, it turns out the other is quite to Hermione’s taste even if it’s a really bad idea.

Summary
In a world where it is known from birth whether or not an individual is an Alpha, Beta or Omega, from the new-borns scent alone and muggles view Omega's as little more than slaves and the 'light' are in support of this belief, Hermione finds herself subjected to a childhood of cruelty at the hands of her adoptive parents. Being excepted into Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry she hopes this is her chance to secure a life for herself far from the horrors of her home life she is bitterly disappointed and quietly seething to find herself under the rule of Albus Dumbledore, and forced to follow 'the boy who lived'. Acting as his personal slave and body guard and only being allowed to study Omega appropriate classes that will 'teach her all she needs to know to perform her duties as a good Omega' despite proving herself as the brightest witch of her age.
Meeting her mate in the darkened halls of the ministry of magic might just be her only chance of salvation.
