And Aphmau feels great about it, really, she does. Them hooking up on a semi regular basis is probably one of the best things that's happened to them in their relationship so far. Nothing will ever come close to the bond that they have, not something as trivial as hooking up. And nothing will ever come close to the promise they made so many years ago. Aphmau can try her hardest and wish for something more, but Aaron made himself very clear when he didn't bring up their promise from high school, even after she followed in his footsteps and made it to college. Hooking up was for the best, and Aphmau will take what she can get. She is satisfied with where she is and what they're doing.
So, what does one wear to, not a freaky Halloween hookup, but a date? And how can Aphmau out-do her costume last year and knock Aaron’s socks off?

I am tired of arguing. Tired of arguing with a man who could not accept his conditions, tired of arguing with myself. So I place my bag down on the bed and sigh with grief. “I plan to leave tomorrow morning.” I pause. “I am tired of being the animal in the cage, the girl who still clings to her father, so damn tired of the hellish punishment I endure for millennia all for the appeasement for the gods above.”
I slowly turned my gaze away from Daedelus, “I accepted who I am, but have you?” he paused. “..Now out of my chambers.”

“Dude, I can’t wait to see Flash’s face when he realizes you actually work with Mr. Stark!” Ned nudged him again, stars practically floating in his eyes.“He won’t find out, probably. I don’t even know any other interns. I don’t know how he’ll find out,” Peter sighed, his shoulders slumping. As much as he didn’t particularly want attention from him, it sucked that he was still thought of as a liar. But, he also didn’t really want his teammates to find out how close he was to Mr. Stark. That was only a few conclusions away from figuring out that he is Spider-Man.
Ned looked equally disappointed but dropped it. “Well… it’ll still be fun, right?”

Up at the teacher’s table, professor Quirrell was talking to a teacher with dirty red hair hanging around her sickly pale face like a curtain. Looking past Quirrell, two poison-green eyes, devoid of any warmth or empathy, found Harry’s own brown ones, and he felt a sharp pain on his scar.
“Who’s that teacher talking to professor Quirrell?”
“Oh, you know professor Quirrell already do you? No wonder he’s looking so nervous, that’s professor Evans, the potions mistress. Don’t get on her bad side, the old hag hates students.“
Harry looked again, but the teacher was no longer looking at him. Still, Harry could not escape the nagging feeling, which he had gotten just from a glimpse of her eyes and the cruel twist of her lips, that professor Evans did not like him very much.
