Arthur knew he was a bad man – everyone did. But sometimes, when the guilt got too much to bear, he liked to pretend he wasn’t. And so, when Mary-Beth had asked him to go look for their runaway O’Driscoll, just to make sure he was alright, that was exactly what he did. He hadn’t expected his search to turn fruitful, neither had he expected for Kieran to be in such a bad way when it did.
And once more, his guilt got the better of him, and he took it upon himself fix what another had broken.
