Dean talks like there's some secret between them. Castiel wonders how far ahead Dean is with their meetings—how often he’s met Castiel, how close he thinks they are.
He should ask.
He doesn't. He can't—won't—put a name on it, but he's liking this Dean so far. There's an ease to the way he crowds into Castiel's space that he hasn't seen in Dean so far, a confidence to the way he carries himself—and Castiel—to their mysterious destination. This Dean makes him think that maybe they should be running into each other more often.

On the day his new neighbor moves in, Dean finds a plant on the sidewalk in front of his house. Perhaps it’s generous to call it a plant: it’s small, and doesn’t seem like it has much of a life left without interference. He hesitates. Maybe the plant is his neighbor's. He should go ask.
