Summary
The world looks almost peaceful from the top of PTMC.
Sitting cross-legged near the edge of the roof, Cassie stares out to the city. It doesn’t feel like too much of a flirt with danger, the raised ledge keeping her safely contained to the corner of the roof she’s found herself in. She feels secure enough sitting here, hiding away from the rest of the world. It’s an almost still evening, the air fresh as it gently breezes against her still flushed cheeks. It’s not her first time seeking solace up here after a hard shift, and it’s probably not going to be her last, either.
Or: Cassie isn't used to having someone who wants to take care of her the way Dana does.

Dana’s words swirl in Cassie’s brain as she follows her through to the bathroom. Cassie is already naked, Dana making quick work of her clothes during their earlier escapade on the couch. Cassie thinks it’s wildly unfair, and she’s already eyeing up the best way to tear Dana’s clothes from her body.

At first, Dana assumed Cassie was doing it accidentally.
Cassie is a terrible actress after all, and trying to keep their relationship a secret has been taking it’s toll on both of them. Somewhere along the way, though, Cassie’s acting stopped being terrible and simply just stopped existing all together.
And today, specifically, Cassie appears to be doing everything in her power to test Dana’s restraint.

Dana is curled up in the corner of the couch, with Cassie’s feet stealing some warmth from her while she’s utterly engrossed in her book. The book is easily held in one hand, the other she’s using to lean on occasionally moving to push her glasses back up her nose.

“It’s a fair question,” she shrugs, knowing her defense of Dan/Dave will annoy her ‘client’. She persists with her baiting, composing herself as the picture of innocence. “There isn’t exactly a ‘Mrs Cass’, is there?”
Cassie shoves her hands in her pockets, retrieving her silver lighter. Dana puts a cigarette between her own lips, and like a well-practiced waltz, Cassie lights it for her. “There could be. D’you know anyone who might be interested?”
