Summary
We know so much about usage of dragonic parts in magic supplies. For that wisdom so many witches lost their lives. Just for a few scales or broken egg shells. But at the same time we know so little about dragons themselves.
They are dangerous. And that's enough to make the research less attractive. And the knowledge about them do not bring as much money as the products from their body.
So no one would throw accusations at secluded town in the north. Even if it's people were a little better with fire magic. Or they couldn't stand the cold very well, even if they lived in heavily snowed region. No one bat an eye at their accent. They lived in different part of the county, of course they spoke a little bit different.
But people of Ghodrey were full of secrets. Not only they were town with mostly witches, but they also had a very special origin.

Summary
Beldaruit and Qifrey - and so naturally also Olruggio - over the years in the Great Hall. Also, for any interested parties, the middle scene is Qifrey coming home after the Tower of Tomes and all that entails. If that means nothing to you, I would not read this.

“Exactly.” Beldaruit sounds softer when he says, “kisses are a sign that two people are very close, or are interested in becoming very close. A parent might kiss their child on the head to soothe them, or the cheek to make them laugh. A friend, too, might kiss a cheek as a sign of affection.”
“Oh, so like Olly?” Qifrey brightens a little. It doesn’t sound so bad being that close to Olly, although the lips bit still sounds pretty disgusting.

“You will make an excellent queen, you do know that, right?” Arthur asks, and there is something tender in his eyes.
Something in her wants to protest. She was the one to introduce the rust. She was the one who mixed in too much iron and upset the delicate balance of nature and magic and steel.
But there is also something in her that thinks—
A spine of steel cannot be too bad a thing.
If Merlin is sunshine, if Gwen is the fire of the forge, if Arthur is the steel between them—
There is something here, brighter than gold, stronger than steel, more enduring than iron. Something that will not rust.
They have to do what they can to make sure that they can actually get to that sunlight.
To get rid of the sorrow staining Merlin’s shoulder, the poison that is spilling through his veins, a sludge that will destroy him.
Gwen needs to be able to see Merlin’s smile again.
And Arthur needs that as well.
(When Gwen uses iron to arrest the Lamia's magical poison to save Merlin's life, she quickly realizes that it does more harm than good. When she arrives back in Camelot, Gaius gives her and Arthur one solution to save Merlin's life: True Love's Kiss.)
