“Well aren't you just the person I wanted to see!” Ford walked towards him, a smile stretching his face almost uncomfortably so. Too wide. Too still.
Fiddleford grabbed him by the shoulders, his hands grasping onto his partner’s lab coat. The fabric was damp, as if it had soaked up the cold. “Ford, what in God’s name are you doing up here? Are you alright?”
Ford’s smile widened. “I’ve never been better,” he said.
“Come down with me, I’m sorry for not having reached out recently, I think this whole thing’s been a gosh-darned mess,” Fiddleford rambled, squeezing Ford’s shoulders. “Come on, I'll make you some soup, we can forget about this whole thing, we can find a way to get rid of that muse you told me about.”
He could feel Ford’s muscles tensing under his grip, and it chilled him. His eyes gleam, almost with a yellow sheen, glowing in the night. “You know, I can’t for the life of me understand why Sixer likes you.”
