He grins at the question, feeling his chest swell into something more… proud. He could really, really do with this. “Glad you asked. I am Chad, and I’m a hero.” That really feels odd to say, still. Flambae pauses to scratch his chin with his right hand. “Well, it’s my first day tomorrow. But, you know, technicalities.”
And that’s when he notices that the other’s gaze fixates on his stumps, eyes going a bit wide.
(He notices the pause, the way the guy swallows hard too as he leans back with dropped shoulders.
The aggressive behaviour vanishes at once and Flambae doesn’t know if he should want it back.)
“Ah. Shit.”

“Oh, darling.” Missy grins, and leans over to hold the side of his face. Her thumb rubs carefully over a tiny spot of oily dirt right under his eye. It’s gentle. She can be gentle. This new her. The Doctor leans into her hand, ever so slightly, then more obvious, and it makes something in her hum. “Did you ever feel like this was going to be a good thing at any point?”
He doesn’t answer.

Summary
Following an instinct, he brought his nose to the Doctor’s neck to take a deep breath, take in his scent and the smell of the fickle, woven and dried up timelines surrounding the Time Lord beneath him. It tickled when he welcomed everything known, registered everything unknown and new to it. The hunger for more cut through his aching body, the hunger for something that he longed for since they were children.
The Master grabbed the back of the chair tightly.
“You’re old. You’re long after eyebrows”, he whispered against the Doctor’s earlobe. “Tell me. How can you be after?”

The Master breathed out slowly and reached up, hands smoothing out some wrinkles in the Doctors awful suit. His fingers wandered down, gripping the lapels of that even more awful brown coat and pulled the Doctor closer, down to his eye level. Their noses were almost touching now and the Doctors brown eyes widened, staring back at him in surprise.
“Okay, I’ll give. Want me to tag on after you, sure. I can do that. But you know, just while I’m at it…”, The Master purred, voice dropping low with a devilish grin spread wide on his face.“I’m going to make your life a living hell, Doctor.”
